聖嚴法師語錄

2009年的月曆拿到手，除了看到聖嚴師父的「心安平安」墨寶以外，被其精美用心的設計深深感動著，除了有墨筆的國畫及法鼓山活動的圖片外，更有師父中英的法語，字字珠璣誨我諄諄 。

它；是精神食糧及修行的指引，可陪伴我們一整年，這是師父對我們的叮嚀與祝福，很高興在此與大家分享，讓我們

  同受法益、同霑法喜。  祝福您！

Jan.一月 「過去已成虛幻，未來尚是夢想，把握現在最重要。」

 As the past has faded into misty memories, and the future remains a dream unrealized, seizing the present is most  important .  — 聖嚴法師  Master Sheng Yen

Feb. 二月 「生命的意義是為了服務，生活的價值是為了奉獻。」

 The meaning of life lies in serving; the value of life in giving. .  — 聖嚴法師  Master Sheng Yen

Mar.  三月 「佛在心中，佛在口中，佛在我們的日常生活中。」

 The Buddha resides in our mind, speech, and daily life .  — 聖嚴法師  Master Sheng Yen

Apr. 四月 「感恩能給我們成長，報恩能助我們成就。」

 Gratitude can make us grow, and the resolve to return favors can help us succeed .

May. 五月 「要做無塵的反射鏡，明鑑一切物，不沾一切物。」

 Be like a dustless mirror that clearly refects everything, but on which nothing adheres.

July. 七月：「每一個孩子，都是幫助父母成長的小菩薩。」  

Every child is a little bodhisattva that help the parents grow.— 聖嚴法師  Master Sheng Yen

Aug. 八月：「要重視善因的培育，不要只期待美果的享受。」  

It is better to place emphasis on cultivating good causes eather than expecting pleasant results. .— 聖嚴法師  Master Sheng Yen

Sept. 九月：「心不隨境，是禪定的功夫；心不離境，是智慧的作用。」  

A mind undistracted by circumstance is the result of meditation a mind at one with circumstance is the result if wisdom.— 聖嚴法師  Master Sheng Yen

Oct. 十月：「自求心安就有平安，關懷他人就有幸福。」  

To seek inner peace is to enjoy peace in life； to care for others is to attain happiness

Nov.  十一月：「隨遇而安，隨緣奉獻。」  

Stay at ease under all circumstances, and give whenever conditions allow.

Scrutinize ourselves with a sense of shame, but view the world with a sense of gratitude.
